Pneumatic Systems

Isolation and damping of vibrations

NK PSNEUMATIC isolators are elements of support with a very low natural frequency that obtain their elastic force of the compression of certain gases that house. Stands for machines based on pneumatic isolators effectively prevent that the vibrations and sound supported by the structure are transmitted to the surroundings (active isolation). The insulators pneumatic may also reduce the effects of vibration isolating precision equipment from the source (passive insulation). NK pseneumatic dampers allow some very low frequencies, ranging from 0.5 to 3.5 Hz depending on type. With loads between 0.5 Kn and 440 kN over.

Height regulation

Air supply of the pneumatic isolators may be different ways:

– Tank valve.
In applications involving a constant load and recognize slight differences in height can be used a valve in the tank. After the initial filling of air, they should check the air pressure or the operating height regularly and, if necessary, add more air.

Pressure regulation
When several pneumatic isolators are connected to a common valve pressure regulation, any loss of air is automatically reset and no maintenance is required. This system allows level those machines in which is unknown the weight distribution. The pneumatic isolators are combined into three groups and the control valves of the pressure are set individually in accordance with weight distribution (Figure 2). This type of air supply can only be used on pneumatic insulators with waves and cylindrical KS type pneumatic insulators, it means, only in pneumatic insulators in which load capacity decreases as increases operational altitude.

Installation

Unlike other suspension elements with static compression, pneumatic isolators can also be used as elements in elevation, resulting in much easier to install. Is not required any additional lift for lifting the machine, since there is no need to pre-tension insulators or devote much time to level and alignment. The system only has to be level once through air pressure or height adjustment valves. In machines that generate vibration, air intake should be located on the stationary side of the insulator.
